We are Radio Heavy, and we play the gems of hard rock and metal music!
Our exciting and energetic catalog of heavier selections from the ‘70s through the ‘90s and beyond will bring you back to a time when hard rock and heavy metal were real, raw, and true. A time when the radio had no limits, and groups like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Kiss, Ratt, Ozzy, Metallica and other ground-breaking acts ruled the airwaves. Heck you might even wanna bang your head just a little bit along with us!

About Us
Veronica – Lead Vocals & Gadgets
Veronica started singing before she even started kindergarten. Her first recording ever was an enthusiastic if completely botched version of “Hound Dog” with an encore of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. Her family hides this reel-to-reel tape from her, yet they take it out on occasion, just long enough to embarrass her at holiday gatherings.
Just before junior high, Veronica heard Judas Priest for the first time, and her entire musical outlook changed. Her favorite singers include Rob Halford, as well as Grace Slick, Ronnie James Dio, Paul Rodgers, and many more.
Veronica has been in various bands for more than 20 years, including The Parts and the all-female power trio, Honeyshot. She has performed in and around the Bay Area, from Gilroy to Vacaville, at venues including The Pound SF, Hotel Utah, Paradise Lounge, and El Rio in San Francisco; Roosters Roadhouse in Alameda; the Stork Club and Eli’s Mile High Club in Oakland; and the Gaslighter Theater in Gilroy.
Mike – Lead Guitar
Mike was born and raised in Sacramento. He began taking guitar lessons at the age of 13 at Skip’s Music, when it was located next to the now closed Alpine Alley Lanes on Florin Road. His early influences were Kiss, Black Sabbath, and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow. Eventually he was turned on to Metallica and has since favored that style of music.
Over the years, Mike has been in several cover bands including Work Project, Paranoid, and also a Metallica tribute. He is a huge fan of Mesa Boogie amplifiers and also PRS guitars.
Jeff – Bass
Bryan – Drums & Vocals
Bryan’s foray into music started in 3rd grade band. He played multiple instruments up until high school, when he decided on the drums, which he has been playing ever since.
He’s been in about a dozen bands playing a spectrum of musical styles and has done studio work for over 20 years. Bryan has played all over the US, and of course now plays here in California, where he’s been seen all around the Sacramento, Tahoe, Reno, and Napa Valley areas. He has opened for Quiet Riot, shared the day’s bill with Billy Idol, and recorded with Frank Hannon.
Bryan enjoys many types of music from the ‘60s through today, as well as solo vocalists, funk, jazz, and hard rock/metal. His favorite bands are Janis Joplin, The Who, Sepultura, System of a Down, and Volbeat.
